KeepOlim provides vital support, assistance, and care to Lone and Olim Soldiers serving in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) from around the world. These individuals hold a special place in our hearts as they have bravely chosen to protect our homeland of Israel, often at the cost of leaving their families behind.
Director Michael Meyerheim leads KeepOlim’s Lone Soldier Unit, personally addressing the needs and concerns of Lone Soldiers. He advocates for them within the Army and bureaucracy, providing the necessary support needed.
KeepOlim receives calls from scared Lone & Olim Soldiers who hesitate to seek help from IDF resources directly. This crisis of suicides and overdoses require immediate action. Through direct connections, KeepOlim has persuaded soldiers to surrender their guns to their commanding offices, saving lives. We are dedicated to reversing this trend and protecting our soldiers.
3 additional programs that support our Lone and Olim Soldiers are:
1. The Tikva By KeepOlim Mental Health Program is led by experienced Olim therapists proficient in 14 languages. We offer FREE one-on-one weekly sessions to over 270 Lone and Olim Soldiers in their native language. This opportunity is extended to ALL Lone and Olim Soldiers, before, during, and up to 1 year after their Army service.
2. KeepOlim’s Feeds Olim Program supports soldiers in need by providing essential food assistance.
3. KeepOlim’s Advocacy Program fights for Lone Soldiers and is part of the Bodedim Coalition whose goal is to establish a new law that provides recently released Lone Soldiers with a basic “bill of rights”.
KeepOlim has worked with the NATIV Program to hold seminars for their Lone Soldiers who are in a special conversion program.
Feed Our Hungry Soldiers
Our KeepOlim Lone & Olim Soldiers Unit’s Gift Certificate Program feeds our struggling and hungry soldiers. These gift certificates are issued to soldiers in need, many of whom come from lower-income families and who are struggling as they are sadly on their own. This is why KeepOlim has stepped in to help!
If you are a struggling lone soldier and in need of food please reach out to LiAmi at info@keepolim.org

24/7 Mental Health Crisis Hotline
December 9th, 2019 – WE DID IT! Thanks to Makor Rishon – award winning journalist Zvika Klein – our Chayalim Bodedim will be paid tomorrow. Klein wrote to Bennett on Twitter and credited KeepOlim’s Advocacy in his Twitter Post. The injustice will be fixed! This is KeepOlim Advocacy in Action! As soon as we heard of the problem we contacted the media and swung into action. https://twitter.com/naftali…/status/1204117553334956037…
All KeepOlim programs and events are always complementary to Lone & Olim Soldiers.

“Hi my brother. You really inspire me and are a constant reminder of hope and faith. You are someone I look to and admire. Always doing right by the people around you, the people you help, continue to help, have helped, and will help in the future. I am still talking to Ruchie, and she’s been an amazing therapist and wonderful to work with.”

“LiAmi Lawrence and KeepOlim are incredible! Due to all the difficulties in forming a government, things are not getting done. Among these was the fact that lone soldiers, men and women who made aliyah and serve in the IDF, weren’t receiving their meager stipend of 1,000 NIS/month! KeepOlim (keepOlim.org) began reaching out to the media, and Defense Minister Bennett just tweeted that money will be allocated tomorrow. Check out KO’s website, they’re the most dynamic post-aliyah group I’ve encountered in my 17 years here.”

“Just saw LiAmi Lawrence on the Israeli news, Channel 11 speaking about protecting the Lone Soldiers. You are an outstanding human being LiAmi. You are making a difference”.
